WHEN I started this blog, I never realised where it could take me. One aspect I didn't anticipate was how much I would learn and how my own preconceptions would be challenged.
Thanks to our contributors I now have a greater understanding of various conditions. Most of all, I feel I have learned about schizophrenia and moved on from wrong assumptions previously forged by a media intent on sensationalising its effects.
With this is mind, I wanted to find a video on YouTube to share here which explains clearly and compassionately what schizophrenia is and what it means for its sufferers.
The above video has been helpful in this respect. I hope it may answer questions from readers too.

That's a great video, Linda. I've got another of these AnswersTV-videos about schizophrenia - explaining what schizophrenia does on (e.g.) a neurological level - featured on my new blog, Completely Mental. (http://completelymentalblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/what-does-schizophrenia-do.html)

Very interesting video Linda, I think I too had a lot of preconceptions so it's good to find out more about it.

A great way to learn more about this - your whole blog is so important to enhance understanding and acceptance, as well as for those of us who live with mental illness.
I have a little something for you over at my blog when you get a minute:
