WHEN Dannii Minogue couldn’t find a candle for an allergy-stricken friend, she gave her trusted beautician the idea for a red hot new product.
Thanks to the ever-stylish Aussie singer and X Factor judge, Heaven’s Breath range of candles was born.
Dannii has been a client of Deborah Mitchell at Heaven for a number of years, and turned to her for help when she was looking for some candles to give as a gift to a friend, who is allergic to paraffin and therefore cannot burn ordinary candles.
Deborah did not sell any herself in her range of mainly organic beauty products, so came up with the idea of making her own, using only natural ingredients which would allow people with breathing conditions to use them.
The result is her Heaven Breath candles, which are made from 100% natural ingredients.
Each candle has a minimum burn time of 50 hours and is made from eucalyptus, cypress and peppermint essential oils, designed to be kind to airways, and even soothing.
“Unlike paraffin-based candles, which health experts have long recognised agitate breathing conditions such as asthma, my candles are made from totally natural products,” explained Deborah.
“Far from aggravating asthma, Heaven Breath candles use ingredients which will soothe your airways, and I believe they will actually be beneficial to asthma sufferers.
“The idea came to me when Dannii raised the issue of her friend, who loves the idea of candles but couldn’t use the paraffin-based ones.
“The candles come in a beautiful Waterford Crystal glass, and their own presentation box, so they make the ideal gift – as Dannii discovered!”
The full range of candles includes the Heaven Scent Candle, which contains patchouli, sandalwood and orange essential oils, and the Heaven Dream Candle, made from sandalwood, grapefruit and lavender essential oils.
