Compton Hospice is linking up with one of the city’s premier hotels as part of the charity’s Raise the Roof appeal to redevelop patient facilities.
The Novotel in Union Street will be donating part of the proceeds from function bookings to the hospice’s appeal, which will help to pay for the £3.5m cost of rebuilding the main patient unit at the Compton Road West site.
For every customer quoting Compton Hospice the hotel will donate five per cent of the cost of event bookings, including weddings and birthdays, and £2 of the ticket price for Christmas parties or event nights will be gifted to the charity.
In addition the hotel is offering special rates for overnight accommodation for customers hosting an event for Compton Hospice, including quiz nights and auctions.
Matt Ward, general manager at the Novotel Wolverhampton, said: “It’s great to link up with such a fantastic local charity as Compton Hospice. It means that customers can get double the enjoyment of a party at the Novotel by having a great time at the hotel and helping Compton Hospice.”
Simon Cater, corporate fundraiser at the hospice, said: “It’s fabulous to have such a prestigious venue as the Novotel supporting Compton Hospice."
