We've been delighted with the media coverage, from some great picture spreads in the local papers, to an interview with Kieron on Central News.
“He is a lovely boy, just like any other his age – he has his computer games, and stuff just like his mates, but rather than being mad about a football team, or being glued to a Playstation, he loves to find out about and follow anything to do with buses," said Mr Rogers.
"I think some of it stems from the fact both his granddad and great granddad worked on the buses, and his grandad’s hat and badge from his days as a driver on West Midlands Travel are two of his most treasured possessions. He has wanted to be a bus driver for as long as I can remember.
"Kieron was bowled over when the double-decker pulled up outside the house, and just had the most fantastic day.
"I can't thank The Green Bus enough for all their help, and Passionate Media for helping to put the plan into action. Nothing has been too much trouble for Ian Mack and his team, and to offer all of this free of charge was just so generous. Thank you from the whole family."
Ian Mack, managing director of The Green Bus, said he was on-board with the idea of treating Kieron as soon as he heard about his enthusiasm for buses.
“It’s great to hear about someone who is as passionate about buses as we are, and when his dad told us just how much Kieron loves buses, and how taken he was with our own green buses , we were on-board straight away.
"We're thrilled he enjoyed his day so much - we'd love to think he might want to come and work for us when he's a bit older!"
